arrived at the doors and checked in with the bar staff. was finally seated after 3 failed attempts. I requested supportive padded seats and this seemed to have caused confusion. two people took our drinks order. the table was dirty and so were the crockery the food and hot drinks were served in. the food was tasty but I'd never go there again. disorganised and not very clean. disappointed really!
It's ok, been here lots over the years. Nice lagers on tap decent selection of wine, nothing too fancy. If you have a large group probably worth considering booking ahead as I have known it to get busy. Large outside area heated also if I remember correctly. Decor seems very cluttered but wouldn't say it's ugly or necessarily quirky or special. It's not bad though. Same goes for the food, really nothing special.
Rooms clean and tidy. Staff seemed to be competent in informing us on arrival. Breakfast in the morning was a what it said it would be. Overall a nice stay in a village nice pub/hotel
The food here was lovely. Nice spacious rooms and seating. Good for families. Shame that the staff could not be bothered with the customers. One member of staff rolled their eyes at one request while ordering food. No assistance finding a table. We had to ask at the bar for pudding and food plates were not cleared away before pudding arrived. We had to find our own cutlery. Worst service iv ever had. Not a single smile.
Me and my motorcycling friend had another wonderful Sunday lunch here today. The trio of roasts was delicious,sumptuous everything cooked to perfection and the service was equally good too. This is a great pub and popular place to drink and frequent occasionally or regularly because of it's superb location and friendliness that it offers to everyone. Nothing is ever too much. The selection of fine wines and beers is as ever impressive. Thank you .
